What's Your Advertising Plan?
|
If you pick up the real estate classifieds in most newspapers, you'll see a lot of boring
ads, and most of them begin to look alike. Advertising experts who get paid the big
bucks can improve the wording and timing of ads to increase sales by 100% to
1,000% or more. The point I'm making is that writing good ad copy is not something
you can do with no education and experience while blind folded. There's much more
to pulling in prospects. Much more.
I recommend you study this subject from every available resource and know what
you are going to do. The full subject is beyond the scope of this section, and frankly,
my "marketing and advertising" methodology is one of the most effective tools in my
arsenal, but it is not something that I can share in a few paragraphs. Some of these
concepts have taken me a lifetime of experience in real estate to learn. One of my
mentors charges $3,000 per hour to teach how he markets, and he makes over $1
million a year helping companies to write better copy and other methods to increase
their sales. Even if I laid out several pages of explanations, I'm not sure it would be
helpful to a FSBO. I'm not trying to hide the ball here, as they do in law school. It's
just that this subject is much bigger than a short primer, and a large part of an
effective implementation of a good marketing plan involves a great deal of
experience and course corrections.
CONCLUSION. Develop your advertising plan as best you can and do it!
