Generation Skipping Trust
A generation skipping trust may be revocable or irrevocable.  A generation
skipping trust is a transfer to any person who is two or more generations below
the grantor.

Why would someone use this kind of trust?  There are many possibilities.  It
may be the children are doing very well and do not need an inheritance, and
which may only increase their own federal taxable estate.  It could be the
grantor's children are not good money managers.
